Cloriacité, Quo Vadis Capital and Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ Break Ground on CLORIA Lévis

A $100 million project aiming for Zero Carbon Building certification

New Rental Project in Lévis' Desjardins Borough

A $100 million project aiming for Zero Carbon Building certification

Lévis, June 20, 2024– Cloriacité partners Quo Vadis Capital and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ held a groundbreaking ceremony today for CLORIA Lévis, a residential rental project in the Desjardins borough of Lévis.

Designed to the highest sustainability standards, the 2-phase, 306-unit project will be built under the Danū signature (named after the historical goddess of nature, water and wisdom that is mother earth), Cloriacité's brand dedicated to the creation of regenerative, sustainable and measurable real estate initiatives.

The event marks the celebration of a new type of development by planting a first tree, representing the partners' commitments to nature and well-being. Therefore, rather than proceeding in the usual way when inaugurating new construction projects, the partners have chosen to demonstrate their commitment to climate action by planting this first tree in a biodiverse public space: an urban oasis created for the neighbourhood's residents by biologist and landscape architect Albert Mondor.

On hand for the occasion were Bernard Drainville, Lévis MNA and Minister of Education, Ann Jeffrey, councillor of the Desjardins borough and member of the urban planning advisory committee; Maxime Camerlain, co-president of Cloriacité and founder of Cloria; Natalie Voland and Chloé Soucy, respectively president and vice-president of Quo Vadis Capital; and Jacqueline Saucier, Vice-President, Real Estate Investments, Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.

"We are very proud of this project, which is in keeping with our approach to develop living environments that meet the needs of all generations while promoting innovative and sustainable construction. CLORIACITÉ Lévis will offer different-size apartments featuring the latest innovations in smart construction as well as green space for tenants and neighbourhood residents."- Maxime Camerlain, Co-president, Cloriacité, and Cloria founder.

"The Fonds immobilier is proud to partner with two developers who have joined forces to create living environments that respond to people's needs and that are inspired by the best practices in sustainable development. The Fonds immobilier is committed to the sustainable transformation of the real estate market and in the context of the housing shortage, our priority is to increase the availability of different types of housing. With its Zero Carbon Building certification and the addition of 166 rental units on the market by fall 2025, the Cloria Lévis project is in line with our approach." - Jacqueline Saucier, Vice-President, Real Estate Investments, Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ

The added value of the Danū signature

CLORIA Lévis is part of CLORIACITÉ Développement's and QUO VADIS CAPITAL's real estate projects, which aim to offer an exceptional residential experience by placing nature and the environment in the spotlight. The Danū signature means construction of carbon-neutral communities, focusing on energy, waste and water management using nature-based solutions, in addition to promoting the protection of urban biodiversity to build communities connected with the environment.

Danū will measure key performance metrics in its sustainable strategies and focus on resilience planning with an integrated approach to collaborative design. It will test, measure, implement and improve its innovations with a view to continuous learning and improvement in order to protect nature and serve the communities for which it builds.

"The time for talk is over. We need to change the way we build and focus on health, well-being and the management of nature as a resource. We are proud to collaborate with valued partners to build future-ready and climate-justice compliant projects, where accessible housing goes hand-in-hand with sustainable development. - Natalie Voland, President of Quo Vadis Capital." - Natalie Voland, President, Quo Vadis Capital
