Frequently asked questions

  • Bioenergies are renewable energies produced from organic matter, also known as biomass. Whether in liquid, solid or gas form, bioenergy can be a valuable alternative to fossil fuels.

  • Biomethanization is an ecological process whereby methane generated by the decomposition of organic matter (biomass) is converted into energy.

Part of the circular economy, this beneficial process enables us to meet energy needs by reusing what would otherwise generate waste and release GHGs into the atmosphere.

  • Also known as RNG, renewable natural gas is a bioenergy produced from organic matter, or biomass. RNG can be used to replace fossil fuels and represents a solution for the energy transition by reducing GHG emissions.
