    • Normand Bélanger

      President and CEO

      Normand Bélanger joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ network in 1987. Prior to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, he served in several roles within the network: Senior Vice-President, Aerospace, Construction, Services and Transportation; Investment Vice-President, Construction, Real Estate and Export Development; Investment Director, Turnaround; Portfolio Manager; Financial Advisor; Financial Analyst; and Development Agent.

      Mr. Bélanger studied financial management at HEC Montréal, industrial relations at Université de Montréal and administration at Université du Québec à Montréal. A member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec, he also received a corporate governance certificate from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval.

      Mr. Bélanger has represented the Fonds on the boards of many partner companies (public and private) active in the sectors under his responsibility.

    • Carole Handfield

      Vice-President, Investments.

      Carole Handfield joined the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ in 2013. Before her appointment as Vice-President, Investments, in 2017, Ms. Handfield served as Director, Investments. Besides managing a team of professionals, Ms. Handfield is responsible for growing the investment portfolio by developing projects in all segments – residential, commercial, office, industrial, community and affordable housing as well as social infrastructure projects – across Québec.

      Ms. Handfield has over 35 years of real estate experience, including 14 years in business development and real estate project management in emerging Central European countries, Colombia, the U.S., Alberta and Québec.  Her achievements include overseeing the activities of Kanada Polska Kabaty, a Warsaw-based company owned by a Québec consortium engaged in the development, construction and management of residential and commercial properties in the Polish capital. Over a 10-year period, almost 1,000 condominiums, townhouses and office buildings were built under her watch. Before that, Ms. Handfield served as a cost consultant for lending institutions.

      Carole Handfield’s strengths include excellent negotiation, profitability analysis and team management skills. Ms. Handfield is a graduate of HEC Montréal’s École des Hautes études commerciales.

    • Stéfanie Pelletier

      Vice-President, Finance

      Stéfanie Pelletier, CPA, CA, joined the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ in June 2018 as Vice-President, Finance. In her role, she is a member of the Management Committee, as well as the Audit and Risk Committee, and she serves on the Board of Directors. In addition, Ms. Pelletier helps develop growth‑oriented strategies for the organization and oversees financial and accounting activities, risk management, taxation and treasury, as well as accounting for projects in which the Fonds immobilier is a partner.
      Ms. Pelletier has over 20 years of experience in finance, including as Chief Financial Officer for Medisys Health Group, an organization specialized in preventive healthcare owned by Persistence Capital Partners, a Canadian fund. She has also served as Vice-President, Finance, for the Laurentian Bank of Canada and as Chief Financial Officer for the Canadian division of Société Générale, one of the leading financial services groups in Europe. Ms. Pelletier started her career in audit at Ernst & Young, rising to Certification Team Leader, a position she held at the firm’s Quebec City, Montreal and Paris offices.
      In 2012, she received the Aces of Finance Award, Emerging Financial Executive category, from Financial Executive International – Canada. Ms. Pelletier is a true believer in community involvement and has notably worked as treasurer in fundraising activities for the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museum of Civilizations, was a member of the Chief Internal Auditor Committee for the Canadian Bankers Association and was one of the writers on the editorial committee of L’information financière - Les établissements de crédit Doctrine et pratiques en Europe et aux États-Unis, published by CPC, 2000.
      Since 2016, Ms. Pelletier is on the Board of Directors of the McGill University Health Centre Foundation where she is actively involved in the development, audit and strategic planning committees.

    • Guy Poulin

      Vice-President, Asset Management

      Guy Poulin joined the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ in 2013. Before his appointment as Vice-President, Asset Management, he served as Director, Investments. In addition to managing a team of professionals, Mr. Poulin is responsible for the Fonds immobilier’s assets under management and the asset acquisition and disposal strategy.

      Guy Poulin has over 35 years of experience in real estate management, investment and asset sale. After working as a construction contractor, then as a property assessor and then as a property manager, Mr. Poulin went on to hold various management positions in the industry, including within the investment team at Ivanhoé Cambridge, where he was responsible for the sale and acquisition of large commercial buildings in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. After setting up a business office for the company in Shanghai, he spent more than five years overseeing the organization’s investments in China.

      Mr. Poulin is known for his pragmatism and keen business sense. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

    • Linda Simard

      Vice-President Legal Affairs

      Linda Simard began her career at the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ as Asset Manager in 1999. She subsequently served as Legal Advisor before her appointment as Vice-President, Legal Affairs. With over 20 years of experience in real estate, she is well equipped to take up the responsibilities of her position.

      Prior to joining the Fonds immobilier, Me Simard had a private notarial practice for four years. She was also a partner in a property management company.

      A lawyer since 2004, Linda Simard holds a law degree as well as a graduate degree in notarial law from Université de Montréal. She also earned an Executive MBA, with a concentration in real estate, from Université du Québec à Montréal.
