  • The Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ aims to make a real difference in the social, community, and affordable real estate sector in Quebec. Faced with the housing shortage, it has committed to its ambitions by creating a new senior vice presidency for social, community, and affordable real estate. The financial analyst will actively collaborate in this endeavor, leveraging their expertise to support the advisor and director.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Conduct financial analyses (viability, feasibility, etc.) and draft useful reports;
    2. Assist in preparing various authorization requests for the boards of directors;
    3. Collaborate on the strategic plan for the sector or any other necessary documents;
    4. Participate in the implementation of new computerized work tools and optimize existing ones;
    5. Obtain and/or provide all necessary information for due diligence to carry out acquisition and disposition transactions;
    6. Collaborate in monitoring expenses related to development projects and those under management;
    7. Analyze available information as part of due diligence;
    8. Assist directors and advisors in their various tasks.

    Profile Required

    Technical Qualifications :

    • Undergraduate degree in business administration, real estate finance, or another relevant discipline;
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial analysis, financial structuring, and real estate projects;
    • Mastery of software and equipment required for the role, as well as analysis tools and techniques;
    • Excellent written and spoken French;
    • Functional mastery of written and spoken English;
    • Knowledge of ESG frameworks is an asset;
    • Knowledge of union structures is an asset.

    About the Real Estate Fund

    For more than 30 years, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ has contributed to Quebec's economic development by investing in profitable, job-creating and socially responsible real estate projects, in partnership with leaders in the real estate sector. It invests in a wide range of assets, whether in mixed-use, residential, office, commercial or industrial projects, while favoring eco-responsible projects that are inspired by LEED and WELL certificates. It devotes part of its investments to social, community or affordable housing projects.

    As of June 30, 2023, the real estate fund's portfolio consisted of 47 real estate projects under construction or development and 70 buildings under asset management that include 4,359 rental residential units and 3.3 million sq. ft. of commercial, industrial, office and socio-economic real estate infrastructure.
