The maximum amount that you can invest in a TFSA each tax year is provided by the Canada Revenue Agency.

For 2026, the ceiling is $7,000, which is added to your unused contribution room from previous years.

If you were 18 or older in 2009, you can contribute up to a total maximum of $109,000 in 2026.
