What are payroll deductions?

Payroll deductions is an automatic savings method offered by your employer that allows you to contribute to your RRSP+ directly from your paycheck and receive an immediate tax credit.

Your employer deducts your RRSP contributions directly from your paycheck.  To save in this way, your employer must first offer the RRSP+ through payroll deductions.  This subscription method makes it possible to benefit from RRSP deductions and additional tax credits on each pay. As a result, the impact on your net salary is minimal!
