Am I required to repay my HBP?

It's better to do so. Otherwise, you'll have to pay tax on the amount you haven't repaid for the year in question.

Moreover, if you're repaying the RRSP+ you used for your HBP, you'll have to repay the corresponding tax credit.

Each year, the Canada Revenue Agency will indicate the total amount of your HBP withdrawals along with the repayments you need to make on your annual Notice of Assessment.

Also, every year, the Fonds will send you a statement of your repayments relating to labour-sponsored funds credits based on the amount you withdrew from your RRSP+ under the HBP.
