Netiquette
Fonds de solidarité FTQ accepts feedback from the public and users of its websites. Some social platforms are available for this purpose.
The feedback must remain constructive, related to Fonds de solidarité FTQ’s activities, and must respect the following netiquette rules:
1. Although all comments left by users are automatically published on social platforms, they are nevertheless subject to revision by Fonds de solidarité FTQ, who reserves the right to not publish, edit or remove any comment, at its sole discretion.
In this context, Fonds de solidarité FTQ may edit or remove:
- any accusation, whether true or false, against any person or organisation;
- any offensive, disrespectful, defamatory, obscene, injurious, threatening, aggressive, abusive or hurtful comment made against a person or an organisation. Are included in this list racist, hateful, xenophobic, sexist comments and those which denigrate ethnic origin, sexual orientation or religious affiliation;
- any kind of solicitation or advertising aimed to promote or support an enterprise or organisation;
- any incomprehensible or irrelevant comment;
- any junkmail or comment sent in bulk, because they hinder the free and open exchange of information;
- any comment containing special characters, subject to different interpretations (ex : !!!###***!);
- any comment that refers to illegal activities, encourages its practice, violates any law, regulation or governmental order or that promotes false, misleading, illegal information, or promotes illegal conduct or incites to violence.
2. Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to participate or intervene in any conversation held on the social platforms, if necessary. It is important to note that responses provided by Fonds de solidarité FTQ to the users' questions are valid and accurate on the date of their publication. Thus, an internet user cannot take into consideration a response given for a specific circumstance and apply it to a preceding circumstances or to new facts.
3. Constructive disagreements and debates may be considered as conversations, but no insulting or offensive comment is accepted.
4. Adding hyperlinks to other websites is permitted in published content, provided that all necessary consents have been obtained. Fonds de solidarité FTQ is not liable for any content on such websites and reserves the right to remove any hyperlinks.
5. Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time without prior notice.
6. Fonds de solidarité FTQ believes that interaction on its social media platforms must be respectful, courteous, in addition to complying with its Protection of personal information section.
7. Fonds de solidarité FTQ has no obligation to remove comments published on its website, even if a request is made to that effect. Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to archive these comments and they can be indexed by Internet search engines. Fonds de solidarité FTQ therefore invites everyone to think carefully about their comments, as well as the potential impacts of their publication.
