  CONTEST RULES - "SCORE SOME POINTS FOR THE ALOUETTES WITH THE FONDS DE SOLIDARITÉ FTQ"

  IN CONNECTION WITH FLEXIFONDS' MARKETING ACTIVITIES

  THE DRAW WILL BE HELD IN MONTREAL,
  ON OCTOBER 28, 2023.

  Duration of the contest

  The "Score some points for the Alouettes" contest (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") is held as part of FlexiFonds' marketing activities. It is held by the Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.) (hereinafter referred to as the "Fonds" or the "Fonds de solidarité FTQ") and is held exclusively in the province of Québec before and during the Alouettes de Montreal's football game on October 28, 2023.

  Conditions for participation in the Contest

  Eligibility

  1. This contest is intended for anyone 18 years of age or older who has a tax residence in the province of Québec. To be eligible for the Contest, individuals must participate on October 28, 2023 from 2:00 pm until the end of the second quarter.
  2. Employees and directors of the Fonds and its network (Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ, Fonds locaux de solidarité FTQ, Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc.), local representatives, employees of the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec, and the persons with whom such employees, directors and local representatives reside are not eligible for this contest.

  How to participate

  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

  1. During the Contest, you can obtain one (1) participation:
  1. By scanning the QR code displayed on various supports inside and outside the Memorial Percival-Molson Stadium and by completing the online registration form, accessible from 2:00 pm until the end of the second quarter;
  2. One participation per person for the duration of the Contest;
  3. The chances of winning depend on the number of participants.

  Prize description

  1. Prize: Two (2) winners will each win $1,500 in cash and Canadian currency, which can be used to invest in a savings product offered by FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc.¹, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. The award of the Prize and the investment that may result is subject to the terms described in paragraph 4 of section "Method of awarding Prize".
  • Unit value of each of the two (2) Prize awarded in the Contest: CAD $1,500.
  • Cumulative value of all Prize presented in the Contest: CAD $3,000.
  • Each Prize is non-exchangeable, non-negotiable and non-transferable. In such a case, all expenses and fees not provided for in this Rules shall be borne by the winner.

  Method of awarding Prize

  1. Using the automatic software function, two (2) individuals will be selected at random among the participants in the Contest. The draw will take place at the Memorial Percival-Molson Stadium on October 28, 2023 during the half-time game.
  2. The results will be recorded by a representative of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
  3. Before you are declared a winner, you must:
  1. Be reached by the Fonds within three (3) days of the draw;
  2. Complete and return to the Fonds within three (3) days of receipt, the Declaration and Release of Liability form sent to you by the Fonds.
  4. By signing the Declaration and Release of Liability form, you will agree to:
  1. Your Prize as described in these Contest Rules;
  2. To be referred to FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc., a mutual fund dealer, to complete any subscription process. A mutual fund advisor will determine the financial product offered by the dealer that is appropriate for your investor profile to invest it into an FlexiFond product. If no financial product offered by the dealer suits your investor profile, the Prize may be awarded in cash;
  3. Be responsible for any tax consequences of accepting the price. If you exceed your permitted contributions for the 2023 taxation year, you can carry forward the unused amount;
  4. That you cannot transfer or sell your Prize to another person or replace it with another Prize.
  5. If all the conditions set out in these Contest Rules are not met, the selected participant will be disqualified and a new draw will be made, in accordance with these Contest Rules, until a new participant is selected and declared a winner.
  6. The names of the winners will be published on the Fonds' website at www.fondsftq.com/contest.
  7. The winner of a Prize releases the Fonds, which is the organizer of the Contest, its advertising and promotional agencies, as well as its employees, agents and representatives, from any and all liability for any damage that he or she may suffer as a result of accepting or using his or her Prize, including any tax consequences.
  8. The Fonds collects, uses and discloses your personal information in order to subsequently send you marketing communications, invitations to participate in contests and to manage the organization of these contests. In the event that you are one of the contest winners, the Fonds also needs to collect, use and communicate your personal information for publicity purposes, including your name, contact information, photograph/image/voice, place of residence and any statement relating to the Prize, without any form of compensation.
  9. The Fonds, its advertising and promotional agencies, and its employees, agents and representatives shall not be liable for any failure of the Internet or the website, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, or computer on-line systems, servers, address providers, computer equipment or software, or for the non-transmission or non-receipt of any electronic mail, or for any damage or loss that may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any web page or software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including damage to an entrant's computer or to any other person's computer used to enter the Contest, to receive materials relating to the Contest or to accept a prize.
  10. The Fonds reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, in the event of an event or human intervention that corrupts or affects the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In no event will the Fonds, its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of products or services related to this Contest, and its employees, agents and representatives be required to award more prizes or award one or more prizes other than in accordance with these Contest Rules.
  11. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  12. This Regulation is posted on the Fonds de solidarité FTQ's website at www.fondsftq.com/contest.

  13. The Fonds may disclose your personal information to third parties with whom it collaborates to carry out these contests. This may include sports clubs. Your personal information is usually stored in Québec. However, it is possible that the disclosure of your personal information to certain third parties could result in such data being transferred outside Québec.  In such a case, the Fonds will verify compliance with the applicable personal data protection laws and practices in the given jurisdiction and ensure that your personal information is properly protected.

You may at any time access or modify your personal information provided for this contest or withdraw your consent when permitted and ask us questions about how your personal information is processed for this contest.
