  IN CONNECTION WITH THE FONDS DE SOLIDARITÉ FTQ' S MARKETING ACTIVITIES

  THE DRAW WILL BE HELD IN MONTREAL,
  ON SEPTEMBER 5, 2023.

  Duration of the contest

  The "40 ans d'envols" contest (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") is held as part of the marketing activities of the Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.). It is held by the Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.) (hereinafter referred to as the "Fonds" or the"Fonds de solidarité FTQ") and is held exclusively in the Province of Québec, from August 11 to 20 at 11:59 p.m.

  Conditions for participation in the Contest

  Eligibility

  1. This contest is intended for anyone 18 years of age or older who has a tax residence in the province of Quebec. To be eligible for the Contest, individuals must participate between August 11^th and August 20^th, 2023 in one of the ways described below.
  2. Employees and directors of the Fonds and its network (Fonds régional de solidarité FTQ, Fonds locaux de solidarité FTQ, Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc.), local representatives and local representatives, employees of the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec, as well as persons with whom such employees, directors and local and local representatives are domiciled are not eligible for this Competition.

  How to participate

  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

  1. During the Contest, you can obtain one (1) participation by:
  1. By completing the registration form available in the Fonds de solidarité FTQ game zone on the International Balloon Festival site, between August 11th and August 20th, 2023 at 11:59 pm.
  2. One participation per person for the duration of the Contest;
  3. The chances of winning depend on the number of participants.

  Prize description

  1. Four (4) winners will each win $1,000 in cash and Canadian currency, which can be used to invest in a savings product offered by FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. The surrender of the Exchange and any investment resulting therefrom shall be subject to the terms and conditions described in paragraph 4 of this Regulation.
  1. Unit value of each of the four (4) Prizes in the Contest: CAD $1,000.
  2. Cumulative value of all awards presented in the Contest: CAD $4,000.
  2. Each Price is non-exchangeable, non-negotiable and non-transferable. In such a case, all expenses and fees not provided for in these Contest Rules shall be borne by and under the responsibility of the winner.

  Method of awarding prize

  1. Using the automatic software function, four (4) individuals will be randomly selected from the participants in the Contest. The draw will take place at the head office of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in Montreal on September 5, 2023.
  2. The results will be recorded by a representative of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
  3. Before you are declared a winner, you must:
  1. Be reached by the Fonds or by an agency designated by the Fonds within three (3) days of the draw;
  2. Answer a mathematical skill question correctly, without assistance and within a limited time. This question will be asked by email or telephone.
  3. Complete and return to the Fund or an agency designated by the Fund, within three (3) days of receipt, the Declaration and Release of Liability form sent to you by the Fonds or an agency designated by the Fonds.
  4. By signing the Declaration and Release of Liability form, you will agree:
  1. Your price as described in these Contest Rules;
  2. To be referred to FlexiFonds de solidarité FTQ inc.¹, a mutual fund dealer, to complete any subscription process. A mutual fund advisor will determine the financial product offered by the dealer that is appropriate for your investor profile in order to deposit it into an RRSP on your behalf. If no financial product offered by the dealer suits your investor profile, the prize may be paid in cash;
  3. To be responsible for any tax consequences of accepting the price. If you exceed your permitted contributions for the 2023 taxation year, you can carry forward the unused amount;
  4. That you cannot transfer or sell your prize to another person or replace it with another prize;
  5. If the person fails to comply with all the conditions set out in this Regulation, the person's participation will be cancelled and a new drawing will be made, in accordance with this Regulation, until a new participant is selected and declared a winner.
  6. The names of the winners will be published on the Fonds' website at www.fondsftq.com/contest.
  7. The winner of a prize releases the Fonds, which is the organizer of the Contest, its advertising and promotional agencies, as well as its employees, agents and representatives, from any and all liability for any damage that he or she may suffer as a result of accepting or using his or her prize, including any tax consequences.
  8. The winner of a prize authorizes the Fonds and its representatives to use, if applicable, his / her name, photographs, images, voice, contact information, place of residence or statement relating to his / her prize for publicity purposes, without compensation.
  9. The Fonds, its advertising and promotional agencies, and its employees, agents and representatives shall not be liable for any failure of the Internet or the website, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, or computer on-line systems, servers, address providers, computer equipment or software, or for the non-transmission or non-receipt of any electronic mail, or for any damage or loss that may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any web page or software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including damage to an entrant's computer or to any other person's computer used to enter the Contest, to receive materials relating to the Contest or to accept a prize.
  10. The Fonds reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, in the event of an event or human intervention that corrupts or affects the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In no event will the Fonds, its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of products or services related to this Contest, and its employees, agents and representatives be required to award more prizes or award one or more prizes other than in accordance with these Contest Rules.
  11. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  12. This Regulation is posted on the Fonds de solidarité FTQ's website at www.fondsftq.com/contest.
  13. The personal information you provide to the Fonds in connection with this Contest is provided by you on a voluntary basis. The personal information collected on participants in connection with this Contest is used for the administration of this Contest and is subject to the Privacy Notice (PRP) of the Fonds de solidarité F.T.Q. The winner of a prize consents to the Fonds transmitting to its partners and suppliers the data collected in the context of this Contest, in accordance with the purposes identified in these Contest Rules and for the awarding of the prize.
