Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ – Bas-Saint-Laurent Support Armoires Distinction’s Succession Plan

Rimouski, August 20, 2025

The Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ – Bas-Saint-Laurent are supporting Armoires Distinction in its succession plan, thus enabling Jade Gagné to join Daphnée Bélanger and Harold Bélanger as co-owner.

Founded in 1998, Armoires Distinction is a kitchen cabinet designer offering a turnkey service that includes measuring, design, delivery and installation. A leader in the furniture and furnishings industry, the Rimouski-based company is the exclusive distributor of Miralis products.

In addition to his role as president, Harold Bélanger, who acquired the company in 2017 with business partner Daniel Drapeau, has been mentoring his successors, daughter Daphnée Bélanger, and employee Jade Gagné. Daphnée, who holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and has solid operational experience, will now take on the role of director of operations. Jade Gagné graduated with a degree in accounting and joined Armoires Distinction a few years ago after a five-year tenure at Miralis. In her new role as director of finance, she will participate in the company's strategic and financial decisions.

"The Fonds régionaux are proud to back the company's next generation, made up of two women from the region. Thanks to their hard work and our support, and to Harold Bélanger's succession planning efforts, Armoires Distinction will be able to achieve new goals while keeping regional expertise here in Bas-Saint-Laurent," explained David Lord, Vice President of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ – Bas-Saint-Laurent.

"I am thrilled to see Daphnée and Jade advance and take on key roles in the company, supported by Catherine D'Astous as sales manager. Succession planning is a long-term process, and today we are entering the second stage of the transition. With the support of the Fonds régionaux, we are well positioned to further the company's growth," said Armoires Distinction's president, Harold Bélanger.

Mouvement Repreneuriat au féminin
