Why do I get tax credits when I contribute to the Fonds de solidarité FTQ?

The governments have agreed to offer these tax credits to encourage Quebec workers to invest with the Fonds de solidarité FTQ so that it can pursue its essential economic mission.
The governments agreed to provide you with a tax incentive to support the Fonds’ economic mission. That's why the RRSP+ offers an additional 30% in tax savings* over and above the standard RRSP deduction.

Notes

*The tax credits granted to the shareholders of the Fonds are 15% at the federal level and 15% at the provincial level. Tax credits are capped at $1,500 per fiscal year, which represents a $5,000 purchase of shares of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
