Buying shares outside an RRSP

Have you reached your RRSP contribution limit? Buying shares of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and holding them outside an RRSP might be a very attractive option.

I buy Fonds shares because...

...they entitle me to tax credits totalling 30% of the amount invested. In practical terms, these credits represent tax savings of $1,500 when I invest $5,000 (annual contribution limit)*.

Thanks to the 30% tax reduction*, a $1,000 investment only costs me about $700.
