Geneviève Fournier Appointed Vice-President of Marketing and External Communications at Fonds de solidarité FTQ
Putting people at the heart of marketing communications
Geneviève Fournier will tell you that she came to marketing by chance. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, Geneviève joins the Fonds de solidarité FTQ today as Vice-President, Marketing and External Communications, a role that comes with a seat on the Management Committee. Geneviève previously held the position of Vice-President – Marketing and Customer Experience at Hydro-Québec.
"My goal in my work is to create a legacy for future generations and to serve Québec. I was drawn to the Fonds because of the team but also because of its values. Through its social investments, the Fonds is making a real difference in Québec and on present and future generations. I look forward to rallying my team so that we can continue to think outside the box."
Recognized as an open and resilient leader, Geneviève describes herself as someone who always strives to put people first and identifies with organizations that do the same. Sensitive to the importance of advancing equity and diversity in the workplace, she endeavours to promote women into management roles.
Geneviève studied history and political science at Université Laval and completed a master’s degree in international relations. She then went on to specialize, earning an MBA from UQAM and Paris-Dauphine PSL.
An avid cyclist, Geneviève enjoys riding her bike in her spare time.
