Normand Bélanger Appointed President and CEO of Newly Created Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie

Marking the Fonds' history in his own way

Normand Bélanger is a key figure in the story of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. A member of the Fonds team since its inception 40 years ago, he has been President and CEO of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ since 2009. Now he is passing the torch to begin a new chapter in the Fonds' history by taking the reins of the newly created Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie.

Mr. Bélanger has headed various investment teams over the years, serving in turn as Senior Vice-President, Aerospace, Construction, Services and Transportation, Investment Vice-President, Construction, Real Estate and Export Development, and Investment Director, Turnaround. Known for his ability to rally project partners and developers around a common vision, he embodies the Fonds' social and solidarity values on a daily basis.

Normand Bélanger holds degrees in financial management from HEC Montréal, in industrial relations from Université de Montréal and in administration from Université du Québec à Montréal. He is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréées du Québec (CRIA) and holds the title of certified corporate director (ASC) from Université Laval's Collège des administrateurs de sociétés. Mr. Bélanger has represented the Fonds de solidarité FTQ on the boards of many of its public and private partner companies.

The Fonds de solidarité FTQ thanks Mr. Bélanger for his hard work to bring the organization where it is today and for supporting its efforts to fight climate change. His expertise and experience will be valuable assets in steering the Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie.
