Spousal RRSP: Who will pay the tax at the time of withdrawal?

At the time of withdrawal, the spousal RRSP holder is taxed according to the usual RRSP rules.

However, if your spouse withdraws any of the money you contributed to their spousal RRSP within three years of its deposit, the amount withdrawn will be added to your taxable income. After this period of two full calendar years, or three occurrences of December 31, your spouse will be taxed.
