Les Entreprises de pêche Éric Gallant

Les Entreprises de pêche Éric Gallant—a pioneer in the crab fishing sector—is located in the village of Aguanish, in the Minganie regional county municipality. This year, it received financial support from the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Côte-Nord to ensure the succession of the family business. With the help of a new financing product designed by the Fonds régionaux specifically for the fishing industry, Éric Gallant is taking the helm of the business founded in 1982 by his father, Julien-Marie.

Ocean Group—a Quebec leader in shipbuilding and repairs, dredging and marine towing and transportation—is accelerating its growth plan in 2019 with the help of an investment of close to $60 million by the Fonds. With operations in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Alberta, and the Caribbean, the company intends to expand its presence in Canada and deploy its service offering internationally.

Ocean Group

Bicycles Quilicot

Bicycles Quilicot has set a course for innovation. With financial support and guidance from the Fonds, the company was able to make the digital shift and launch an online store. It also now offers mobile workshops on how to assemble and maintain bikes. To further improve the customer experience, Bicycles Quilicot plans to develop a mobile app that customers can use to schedule appointments.

Bfly creates products that promote children’s development while having fun. With an investment from the Fonds, the company was able to open a location complete with a store and a butterfly aviary in Brossard’s Quartier Dix-30. Bfly’s immersive experiences are fun for the whole family!
