We make venture capital investments in Québec-based businesses at the start-up and research and development stages. Often, these businesses are not yet profitable, and much of their value lies in their intellectual property.
While this type of investment is riskier, it also has the potential to generate higher returns for our shareholders. By also investing in development capital, we are able to balance and diversify our portfolio and take on more risk with local companies to create more positive outcomes.
