The following conditions govern your use of the Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.)(the "Fonds") Web Site. The Fonds reserves the right, at any time, to modify, change or update the Conditions, and you agree to be bound by these modifications, changes or updates. You agree to review, on a regular basis, the general conditions posted on this Site and to stay up-to-date with these new versions. Your use of our Site after such modification constitutes your agreement to abide by these conditions so modified and be bound by them. If you do not agree with these conditions, please do not use this Site.

APPLICABLE LAWS

These Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. You agree that any dispute arising from or relating in any way to this Site will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Quebec courts.

A copy of the personal information you provide us with and which we store is kept on our servers located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTED?

Where it considers it appropriate, the Fonds uses data encryption or authentification tools or both, as well as other methods to protect certain web-based information stored on its server. On the other hand, e-mails you send us are not necessarily secure when they are transmitted to us.

 

WHAT IF WE CHANGE OUR PRIVACY POLICY?

The Fonds reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. If any material changes are made to this Policy, we shall update this Site to include such changes and shall post a notice on our home page with a link to the updated Privacy Policy. Your use of this Site or the downloading or use of documents from this Site following the posting of such notice shall constitute your acceptance of these new terms and conditions. NETIQUETTE

We accept feedback that is constructive and related to the Fonds de solidarité FTQ’s activities, provided that your use of social platforms respects the following netiquette rules:

1. Although all comments are automatically displayed on social platforms, they are nevertheless supervised by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ who reserves the right to not publish, modify or remove any comment at its sole discretion.

In this context, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ may modify or remove:

  • Any accusation, whether true or false, made against a person or an organisation;
  • Any offensive, disrespectful, defamatory, obscene, injurious, threatening, aggressive, abusive or hurtful comment made against a person or an organisation. Included within this list are racist, hateful, xenophobic, sexist comments and those which denigrate ethnic origin, sexual orientation or religious affiliation;
  • Any solicitation or advertising aimed at promoting or supporting an enterprise, or an organisation;
  • Any incomprehensible or irrelevant comment;
  • Any junkmail or comment sent in bulk, because they hinder the free and open exchange of information;
  • Any comment with special characters (e.g., !!!!###***!) since it can be subject to different interpretations;
  • Any comment that refers to illegal activities or that encourages the practice of such or that violates any law, regulation or governmental order or that promotes false, misleading or illegal information or that promotes illegal conduct or incites violence.

2. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to participate or intervene in any conversation if necessary. Responses provided to the questions of the Internet users by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ are valid on the date of their publication. An Internet user cannot take into consideration a response given for a specific circumstance and apply it to a preceding circumstance or to new facts.

3. Constructive disagreements and debates may be considered as conversations, but no insulting or offensive comment shall be accepted.

4. Adding hyperlinks to other sites is permitted in published content provided that the necessary consents have been obtained. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ shall not bear any liability for any content on such sites and reserves the right to remove any hyperlink.

5. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time without prior notice.

6. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ believes that interaction on its social media platforms must be respectful and polite in addition to complying with its Protection of Personal Information Policy.

7. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ has no obligation to remove comments that you publish on its site even if you have requested such removal. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ reserves the right to archive these comments and they can be indexed by Internet search engines. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ therefore invites you to think carefully about your comments and the consequences of their use.
