    • Alain Denis

      Alain Denis joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2009 as Investment Director of the Information Technologies and Telecommunications sector. An entrepreneur and manager with over 20 years of experience in business and investment, Mr. Denis has held various management positions in leading companies, playing a significant role in their development. Over his career, Alain Denis was, among other things, involved in the launch of a national wireless telecom firm and helped secure financing for and further the development of various companies funded through venture capital in Europe and Asia. More recently, he participated in developing the business of two companies he co-founded, one in health technologies and the other in asset-based lending. A graduate of Université Laval and York University, Mr. Denis holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Finance concentration. Very involved in the business community, he is a board member of several companies and organizations in Montréal.
    • Colette Roy

      Colette Roy joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1999. She first worked at the Fonds régional de solidarité FTQ de Montréal before being appointed Senior Investment Advisor for the Industrial Technologies sector, and then Portfolio Manager for the Information Technologies and Telecommunications sector. Ms. Roy has 20 years of experience in SME financing, acquired at leading Québec financial institutions and within the Fonds de solidarité FTQ network. Over the years, she has served on several boards of both public and private technology firms and is currently a board member of a leading-edge company. Holder of an MBA with a Finance concentration from HEC Montréal and a bachelor's degree in urban planning from Université du Québec à Montréal, Colette Roy brings a wealth of human resources and other experience to the Fonds.
    • Dany Sarrazin-Sullivan

      Senior Investment Advisor

      Dany Sarrazin-Sullivan holds over 20 years of operational experience in transportation, IT, clean technologies, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions. He joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2018 to support innovative businesses that contribute building the Québec cleantech industry. Mr. Sarrazin-Sullivan worked for Ovivo, formerly a Division of GL&V Canada (now Ovivo) as Vice-President Sales (Canada), and Vice-President Business Development (CinetikTM) from 2009 to 2013, and as Global Director - Parts, Services and Marketing from 2012 to 2015. He subsequently was a partner at Straccel, from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, Mr. Sarrazin-Sullivan held the positions of Investment Director at Société Innovatech du sud du Québec (now Desjardins-Innovatech S.E.C.), from 2000 to 2006, and Vice-President, Products & Marketing at Elcotech Technologies, from 2006 to 2009. In 2015, he founded NovaVisio Consulting, a management consulting firm supporting efforts in due diligence, business development and coaching entrepreneurs. Mr. Sarrazin-Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Science - Management, from HÉC-Montréal.
    • Charles Sylvestre

      Vice-President, Investments - Information Technology and Telecommunications

      Charles Sylvestre has worked in the business transfer and venture capital fields for over a decade. In 2009 he co-founded Adix Conseil, a firm specializing in buying and selling businesses in the Montréal region and the Eastern Townships. Before that, Mr. Sylvestre spent four years as a manager and legal counsel at Novacap, where he was directly involved in buying, selling and taking equity stakes in IT and other firms. While at Novacap, he was also responsible for the due diligence and closing of several private equity deals that often entailed bank financing. Between 1997 and 2003, Charles Sylvestre was, in turn, an analyst at Argo Global Capital (GSM Capital) and Microcell Telecom (Fido). Mr. Sylvestre began his career as a lawyer with a Montréal legal firm in 1994, the year he became a member of the Barreau du Québec. He holds a Bachelor in Social Science (economics) from Université d'Ottawa, a law degree from Université de Montréal and a Diploma in Management (Treasury - Finance) from McGill University. He has been a member on the Board of directors of Bluestreak Technology, Inc. since June 2013.

      Danielle Day joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1999 as Valuation Coordinator. Ms. Day has extensive experience in evaluating financial instruments: stocks, debentures, preferred shares and hybrid instruments. She has conducted valuations in many different situations, for example, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts and restructurings. During her career, she also spent time working for a leading financial advisory firm. With over 20 years of experience in business valuation, Danielle Day earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Université du Québec à Montréal and holds the designations of Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator.
    • Jodi A. Lackman

      Legal Advisor

      Jodi Lackman joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2004 as Legal Advisor. In her current role, she deals with the many legal facets of the Fonds' investment operations. From defining the legal structure of transactions to their negotiation and closing, Me Lackman is involved at each step of the investment process. Occasionally, she also delivers legal training to Fonds employees. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Me Lackman worked for a major Montréal law firm with offices in Toronto and New York. In addition to her bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from Concordia University, Me Lackman holds a Bachelor of Civil Law/Bachelor of Law (B.C.L/LL.B) from McGill University. She has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1997.
    • Richard L. Moss

      Senior Marketable Securities Advisor, Quebec Public Markets

      Richard Moss joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2003 as Senior Marketable Securities Advisor, Québec Public Markets. He is also part of the multidisciplinary teams of many sectors, including Turnaround and Special Projects. His duties include executing large stock transactions. Mr. Moss has worked in the financial field since 1986, acquiring solid expertise as, among others, an analyst and manager at Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec and as a pension fund specialist at Domtar. Richard Moss holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal and an MBA with a Finance concentration from Université de Sherbrooke. He is also a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).
    • Martin Rivest

      Senior Marketing Advisor

      Martin Rivest joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2006 as Senior Marketing Advisor in the Market Analysis and Development office. His duties include formulating recommendations for investment projects, advising the investment team and prospecting, tracking and furthering the growth of companies in the portfolio. During his 20-year career, Mr. Rivest has developed solid expertise in product development and management in the computer security, IP networks and e-commerce fields. He is also adept at managing multidisciplinary teams. An engineer, Martin Rivest earned an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Université Laval. Prior to joining the Fonds, he worked for several major telecom companies.
