| | OUR SHAREHOLDER NETWORK The public's confidence in the Solidarity Fund QFL has led to a substantial increase in our shareholder base (over 575,000 shareholders as at May 31, 2008) and allowed us to become a financial powerhouse.
The Solidarity Fund QFL owes its spectacular growth to two key factors: the general public and our local representatives (LRs). The general public is made up of people like you who purchase shares in the Fund and thus help create and maintain jobs in Québec.
And then there is the dedicated work of over 2,100 LRs to whom we entrust our enrolment and subscription campaigns. Most of these volunteers are members of QFL-affiliated unions*, the CSQ or the FIIQ.
* Local representatives are also members of the Confédération des cadres au Québec.
Purchasing shares in your workplace
Supported by Fund coordinators and the local union executive, LRs are present in all the regions and industries of Québec. Their mandate is to inform their co-workers about the advantages of enrolling in the Solidarity Fund QFL and to organize structured enrolment campaigns in the workplace.
LRs receive continuous training, and because they deal with all the members of the affiliated unions, are qualified to advise shareholders on issues ranging from income tax shelters to retirement savings and income vehicles.
Contributing through payroll deduction
The Solidarity Fund QFL considers payroll deduction the contribution method of choice because it makes it easy for workers to save by spreading out the payments over an entire year and deducting them at source.
Share purchase by the general public
The professional team at the Fund's Shareholder Services is always available to provide accurate, pertinent information to anyone interested in purchasing shares at the Fund.
Listening to our shareholders
The Fund maintains regular contact with its shareholders. The documents they receive are simplified, clear and accurate. As well, because serving our shareholders is a top priority, we review our policies regularly to better meet their changing needs.
The Fund is a pool of knowledge, resources and contacts for the benefit of the Québec economy.
