An emblematic real estate project in the heart of downtown Montreal

MONTREAL, November 23, 2016Cogir Real Estate and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ are pleased to announce a major project in the heart of downtown Montreal, at the corner of Viger and de Bleury, in the heart of Montreal’s Quartier international, which will offer impressive views of Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle, one of the city’s most notable landmarks. Defined by its innovative, mixed-use style, this new $200+ million project will proudly carry the name HUMANITI.

A mixed-use project focusing on the human experience in a connected vertical village

Comprising a 200-room hotel, 335 rental units, 140 condominiums, 70,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of commercial/retail space, the project will occupy the entire block bordered by Viger, de Bleury, de La Gauchetière and Hermine, complementing the Quartier international. Inspired by humans and by sharing, and based on the concept of “live, work and play,” HUMANITI will be a source of pride for Montrealers, with outstanding architecture designed by Lemay, functioning as a unique extension of Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle. The aim is to obtain LEED® certification for the project.

The project will be designed so that people can move freely and naturally through their environment: the pedestrian esplanade, urban chalet, rooftop swimming pools, terraces and adjoining stores and businesses will foster interaction. Electric charging stations and car-sharing services will be available to HUMANITI’s residents, and a mobile app will facilitate connectivity and sharing.
