Jean Archambault joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2000 as Investment Director for the Export Development sector. In 2003, he moved to Africa for an opportunity to become President and CEO of a construction and real estate development company, Société Socater S.A. He returned to the Fonds in June 2005 as Investment Director of the Construction, Construction Materials and Environment sectors.
Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, Mr. Archambault worked for a prominent financial institution, first as Commercial Account Manager, followed by other management positions. He then moved to another institution where he also held a management position until 2000. Mr. Archambault has served on several boards in Canada and abroad.
Holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal, Mr. Archambault also received a Master of Science in Finance from Université de Sherbrooke. He is currently studying for his PhD in Business Administration at Université de Sherbrooke and is in the process of preparing his thesis on risk management, more specifically, the predictive value of a model containing qualitative elements on portfolio return.
