With 10 businesses supported in 2018-2019, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Abitibi-Témiscamingue injected more than $9.2 million in the local economy

Rouyn-Noranda, June 25, 2019 – The Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Abitibi-Témiscamingue has invested $750,000 in Services Technominex, a company offering professional services to mining companies in the valuation, exploration and development phases of mineral projects. This investment was one of ten made in 2018-2019, bringing the total to over $9.2 million for the FRS Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
Founded in 2004 by Daniel Desrosiers, Services Technominex has positioned itself over time as a professional partner in mineral exploration, offering comprehensive, personalized service with a view to improving customer responsiveness. Environmentally responsible and focused on its customers’ success, the company incorporates sustainable development principles into all aspects of its work. In 2012, Norman Jacob joined the company as chief executive officer and became a shareholder in 2015. The financing granted by the FRS Abitibi-Témiscamingue will be used for a succession project in which Mr. Jacob takes over from Mr. Desrosiers and becomes the sole shareholder of Services Technominex.

A well-entrenched and healthy FRS network
In fiscal 2018-2019, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ invested a total of $120,662,030 in 117 Québec businesses. This was an exceptionally strong year in terms of investments and number of files handled since the creation of the Fonds régionaux in 1996.
