Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Lanaudière injects $3.2 million to fuel the group’s growth
Terrebonne and Saint-Rémi, February 13, 2019 – Intermat, Centre de l’escalier and Boiseries B.G. today announced that they are joining forces. The new alliance makes the Intermat–Centre de l’escalier–Boiseries B.G. consortium one of the biggest players in the Québec residential construction industry, with over 200 workers and more than $50 million in sales.
Intermat and Centre de l’escalier, two leaders in the fields of residential construction and renovation, recently announced their alliance in order to pool their expertise and succeed in an increasingly competitive environment. Today’s arrival of Boiseries B.G. will make them an even more formidable force in the booming Québec market.
Over the last two decades, Boiseries B.G. has carved a reputation in residential construction as a specialist in interior wood trims. Boiseries B.G. designs, manufactures and distributes a wide range of high-quality stairs, banisters, interior doors and complete millwork. The expertise of its employees will therefore complement that of Intermat’s team, active in doors, woodwork and hardware, and that of Centre de l’escalier, specializing in stairs, banisters and other millwork products. Boiseries B.G. will keep its trademark.

In addition, the consortium has announced that the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Lanaudière is investing $3.2 million to fuel their growth.

By forming a consortium, Alain Gauthier and his team are strengthening the three companies’ market position,” said Éric Dargis, regional vice-president of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ for Lanaudière, Laurentides Laval.
