SQUARE CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL PROJECT PARTNERS GIVE $300,000 TO MONTREAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

A project carried out in partnership by Devimco Immobilier,
Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Fiera Properties

MONTREAL, February 7, 2019Devimco Immobilier, Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fiera Properties, partners in the Square Children’sTM residential project, have announced a $300,000 donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation to help support research and highly specialized care at this world-renowned pediatric institution. The Square Children’s™ project will revitalize the former site of the hospital located near downtown Montréal.

“With this donation, we are not only supporting pediatric health research, but we are also paying tribute to this historic building dedicated to children’s health, a cause that is dear to our hearts,” said Normand Bélanger, President and CEO of Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.

Added Serge Goulet, President of Devimco Immobilier: “It was important for us to acknowledge the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s illustrious presence in the neighbourhood. This is why, in addition to the donation, a commemorative work depicting this historic institution will also be displayed in the lobby of the EstWest residential towers.”

And Peter Cuthbert, President of Fiera Properties, stated: “As developers, we wanted to recognize our social role through a meaningful and concrete gesture. Helping sick children as well as families going through hard times seemed very appropriate.”

The Foundation’s partners and executives met today at the Hospital to officially present the cheque and inaugurate the donor recognition plaque.

“We are grateful to the project partners for this gesture,” said Renée Vézina, President of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. “This kind of initiative helps transform care for sick children, assist families in need, and foster innovation and research.”
