Habitations Trigone and Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ Inaugurate New Residential Complex Viva-Cité Saint-Lambert

Saint-Lambert, November 25, 2016 – Habitations Trigone and its partner, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, today inaugurated phase I of a new residential development, Viva-Cité St-Lambert.

Located in the heart of downtown Saint-Lambert and its retail hub, with two train stations nearby, this residential complex is the second to be inaugurated under the Viva-Cité banner, a rental development with “all inclusive” pricing geared to the 55+ crowd. Once completed, the two-phase project will offer 215 apartments spread over 8 floors. The first phase consists of 124 units, some of which are already occupied.

The Viva-Cité concept consists of condo-style apartments with all-inclusive pricing geared to active mature adults. Tenants can enjoy such amenities as a pool, terrace, gym, multi-purpose room, kitchen and reception room, as well as an activity program designed by a recreologist. Included in the rent are appliances, electricity, heating, air conditioning, telephone, cable and Internet.

“Bolstered by the success of the first Viva-Cité in Sainte-Thérèse, we are excited to inaugurate Viva-Cité Saint-Lambert. The Viva-Cité banner, which will include another five residential complexes by next July, completes our portfolio of properties in development with the Fonds immobilier solidarité FTQ. Our goal with this all-inclusive formula is to offer an activity-filled living environment to active seniors. Also, like the majority of our projects, Viva-Cité Saint-Lambert is built in an area dedicated to Transit-Oriented Development  (TOD), with two train stations nearby and within walking distance to local shops and services,” said Serge Rouillard, principal partner of Habitations Trigone.

“We’re thrilled by the response to the first Viva-Cité building in Sainte-Thérèse and want to capitalize on the success of this all-inclusive formula,” said in turn Normand Bélanger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ. “This real estate project, representing an investment of over $56 million, will ultimately generate 380 jobs and allow us to consolidate our partnership with Habitations Trigone with whom we already have other projects in development, in particular, District Concorde in Laval and Le Namur at Place de la Savane in Montréal.”
