Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Mark Their 20th Anniversary: $17 Million Invested and 1,200 Jobs Created and Maintained to Date

Bonaventure, September 20, 2016 – While visiting the region to mark the 20th anniversary of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ (FRS), Luc Pinard, President and Chief Executive Officer of the FRS, accompanied by Marc Cayouette, Regional Director of the FRS in eastern Québec, recapped the organization’s investments in Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

“Since their inception, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ have invested $17 million in Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine, helping to create or maintain some 1,200 jobs in the region”, said Mr. Pinard. “We will continue working with the Fonds de solidarité FTQ network and with all the economic actors to back projects that create jobs in the region.”
