Press release

Prével launches the final phase of Lowney sur Ville – the continuation of Lowney, the pioneering project which began in 2004 and ignited the revitalisation of Griffintown.

Montreal, June 21, 2016 - Prével put the final 104 units at Lowney sur Ville up for sale, marking the end of a symbolic project which contributed tremendously to the revitilization of Griffintown. This final phase follows Lowney, a pioneering project in the area, which began with a transformation of the two Cherry Blossom chocolate factories in 2004. The Lowney and Lowney sur Ville projects now total 15 phases with more than 1,600 condos and urban lofts, all stemming from a partnership between Prével and the Fonds immobilier de solarité FTQ.

New units, new views
Standing at 20 storeys high, the project’s final phase offers exceptional views of the river, Old Montreal and downtown. Located at the intersection of Ann and Ottawa Streets, the building offers a wide selection of studios and 1 to 3-bedroom condos are available, priced from $140,000 to $412,000 before taxes.

A stimulating living environment with many common areas and an exceptional location
As in previous phases, Lowney sur Ville offers an environment that extends beyond just condos.

Future owners will enjoy;
• A rooftop terrace with swimming pools & breathtaking views of the city.
• A 2,200 square foot urban chalet with large windows located on the roof level.
• Over 5,000 square foot fitness centre with indoor pool and spa area.

Nearby, residents can share a common passion for what city life has to offer: many shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries, etc.

Lowney, pioneering the revitalisation of Griffintown
In 2004, attracted by the unique industrial character and the district’s prime location, Prével launched the revitalisation of Griffintown by transforming the old Cherry Blossom chocolate factory into residential lofts. Such an opportunity allowed the developer to stand out through the integration of common areas;

● Rooftop terraces with swimming pools and BBQ areas interconnected by suspended walkways;
● Urban chalets an area where residents can meet, work and relax;
● Fitness centres with indoor pools and spa areas.

“Being attuned to our client’s needs through every phase of the project has led to the conceptualisation of common areas. Whether it be for meetings or for relaxation, we put lots of efforts into creating spaces that are a delight to live in for our clients." says Jacques Vincent, co-president of Prével.

“At the time, Prével presented the project with great ambition towards revitalizing this once working-class neighbourhood. Lowney differentiated itself by proposing to build lofts and common areas, thus attracting a new clientele base, mainly young couples. With Prevél in command of the development, we knew we could offer an exceptional product, one of quality and integrity. 12 years later, Prével’s success is eminent” stated Normand Bélanger, président and CEO of the Fonds Immobilier de Solidarité FTQ.

Over the years, Lowney has built a reputation amongst young professionals daring to settle in an industrial neighborhood. This forward-thinking clientele were also the trend setters for efficiently optimised space.

"Over time, increasing prices have led us to optimise living spaces and maximise each square foot. Since Lowney’s first phase in 2004 we’ve tried to offer the best value possible. A large proportion of our buyers are making their first purchase. The ability to supply so many people with homes leaves us with a great sense of pride, as we allow each and every one of these people to build their property assets." concludes Jacques Vincent.
