The Fonds de solidarité FTQ supports another Quebec flagship enterprise by investing in Coalision and its Lolë brand

Montréal, April 23, 2014 – By teaming up with a consortium of strategic buyers announced today by Coalision Inc., the Fonds de solidarité FTQ is happy to be playing a role in the success of this Québec company which has more than 200 employees and its head office in Montréal. Founded in 1989 and headed by Bernard Mariette, Coalision manufactures and distributes Lolë lifestyle and activewear.

“Like us, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ believes in the international expansion of the Lolë brand and our vision. Their investment is important for our long-term growth”, declared Mr. Mariette, CEO of Coalision Inc.

“This deal not only consolidates quality jobs here in Québec – a fundamental aspect of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ’s mission – but allows Coalision to continue to grow abroad,” said Janie Béïque, Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources, Industries and Consumer Goods, at the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. “This company, which got its start here in Québec, has a bright future thanks to its visionary management team and top-notch employees.”

“I am thrilled to now include Coalision in our network of partners, a show of confidence in the Fonds by Coalision. This is a partnership that will have a positive impact for Fonds owner-shareholder and Coalision employees,” concluded Ms. Béïque.
