The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is proud to support the launch of the book Duo cédant/repreneur

Montreal, October 24, 2011 – The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is proud to be associated to Presses de l’Université du Québec for the launch of the book Duo cédant/repreneur a work on the process of entrepreneurial succession under the direction of Louise Cadieux and Bérangère Deschamps.

“There are too few works of this nature to help entrepreneurs and their successors in the transfer process. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is proud and happy to celebrate the launch of this excellent book which deals with the human aspects of entrepreneurial succession that drive the partners in situations that can often be emotional. It will become a valuable resource for all concerned by the survival of Quebec enterprises”, declared Gabriel Nadon, portfolio manager at the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.

Company succession has been the focus of the Fonds’ concerns for nearly 15 years, and we want to continue to financially and strategically support entrepreneurs and their successors. By offering them innovative and flexible financial tools, as a complement to other financial opportunities provided by more traditional financial institutions, the Fonds allows business leaders and their successors to be the best equipped to have a successful transfer.

To date, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and its network of regional funds were involved in nearly 100 succession cases, and invested over $175 million to encourage their success.
