CONDOS MISCÉO PHASE I An urban living concept in Lévis OFFICIAL GROUNDBREAKING

Lévis, March 23, 2010 – Florent Fortier of Société Immobilière SITE, developer of Quartier Miscéo Lévis centre, and Normand Bélanger, president and Chief Executive Officer of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, announced the start of construction of Condos Miscéo phase I at a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Lévis Mayor Danielle Roy-Marinelli and François de l’Étoile, vice-president and general manager of the Van Houtte Cafés-Bistros division.

On August 25, Fortier announced the launch of Condos Miscéo phase I at the intersection of J.B.-Michaud and Métivier streets, near the Centre de congrès et d’expositions de Lévis. “With more than half of the 66 residential units sold and the signing of a Van Houtte café-bistro on the ground floor, we are pleased to announce that construction will begin in early April.”

Condos Miscéo offers a unique urban living concept in Lévis. “We are proud to offer Lévis residents a modern, smartly designed condominium complex in a vibrant neighbourhood, within easy reach of many services.  The Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ is proud to team up with such reputable partners as Florent Fortier and architect Pierre Martin, both of whom have brought their expertise and talent to this project. The future owners of these condos will enjoy an architectural and urban living concept like no other,” said Normand Bélanger of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, a partner in Condos Miscéo.

The six-story building will be equipped with two elevators, indoor parking and a private outdoor garden reserved for homeowners. The concrete building, designed by architect Pierre Martin, will have private balconies and ample windows.

The ground floor will offer commercial premises for rent near the Cosmos Café de Lévis and the Centre de congrès et d’expositions de Lévis. One of the tenants will be a Van Houtte café-bistro, which will be managed by Bernard Poitras, a respected local businessman on the South Shore, and have a capacity of 80 seats inside and 50 seats on the front terrace. François de l’Étoile, vice-president and general manager the Van Houtte Café-Bistros division, describes the new bistro as “an inviting, wood-panelled room with plenty of natural lighting where customers will be able to enjoy our delicious specialty coffees and light meals.”
