Québec City, June 17, 2019 – In the past year, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Québec invested $300,000 in La Corporation de Clôtures, a company specializing in the manufacture and installation of fences for the residential and commercial markets. This investment was one of eleven made in 2018-2019, bringing the total to over $15.9 million for the FRS Québec.

The result of a market consolidation in 1995, La Corporation de Clôtures is an amalgamation of Clôture Nordik, Clôtures Orléans and Clôture Unique. More recently, in 2018, the group expanded with the acquisition of three other companies in the field: Clôture de la Capitale, Clôtures Experts and Clôture à Rabais. The investment of the FRS Québec will be used to finance the company’s growth, which has not excluded more acquisitions to support its growth.

“We have developed a new niche with distribution, which allows us to sell equipment to smaller installers. In this way, we can better position ourselves in the high-end market with high quality standards. With the financial support of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Québec, we will be in a better position to pursue our growth projects,” said Jonathan Tremblay, President and CEO of La Corporation de Clôtures.

“Our investment teams are interested in companies that operate in a wide variety of sectors. Their common denominator is that they all demonstrate vision and develop promising projects to ensure their company’s growth and expansion. La Corporation de Clôtures is a good example in this regard, and we’re proud to support such dynamic entrepreneurs. This company makes a tangible contribution to our positive results in the regional economy,” said in turn Jean Roy, Regional Vice-President for the Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions, Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ.

A well-entrenched and healthy FRS network

In fiscal 2018-2019, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ invested a total of $120,662,030 in 117 Québec businesses. This was an exceptionally strong year in terms of investments made and number of files handled since the creation of the Fonds régionaux in 1996.

“Thanks to the Fonds régionaux, we’ve been able to develop a strong network on the ground and boost our presence in every region of Québec. Our investment teams and board members are very close to the business communities they serve. They are therefore well placed to understand local issues and propose financing solutions that meet the needs of the region’s entrepreneurs. These solid results attest to the strength of our network and our contribution to the vitality of the regional economy,” concluded Luc Pinard, President and CEO, Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ.
