FAB 3R Owners Buy the Land and Buildings Housing the Business. A dream becomes a reality

Trois-Rivières, April 16, 2019 – FAB 3R owners Chantal Rochette, Yves Lacroix and Martin Magny today proudly announced the acquisition of the buildings and land on which their Trois-Rivières business is located.

This major investment of more than $1 million by the three partners, secured by the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Mauricie, allowed the local entrepreneurs to purchase the 600,000-square-foot lot and FAB 3R’s five buildings, totalling 200,000 square feet.

“For us, it's a dream come true. We’ve been tenants since we acquired GL&V Canada’s manufacturing division in 2013. However, we always planned to one day own the property,” said Yves Lacroix, president and CEO of FAB 3R. “From the start, our intention was to make a break with GL&V and this is precisely what we did on December 20 when we signed the contract to purchase the land and its buildings. Today we’re thrilled to announce that FAB 3R is now a 100% Trois-Rivières company, in every sense of the word.”

The Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Mauricie is delighted with the outcome, as it provides a sense of security for all the partners and employees.

Nathalie Laberge, Investment Director at the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Mauricie, is pleased with the announcement: “Already firmly rooted in Trois-Rivières, this company is further strengthening its ties with our region through this transaction. This is good news for FAB 3R’s employees and partners, as well as for the entire Mauricie economy.”

This acquisition is vital for FAB 3R’s development since major investment projects will be announced in the weeks ahead.
