Roundtable discussions on digital and data transformation launched by the Honourable Navdeep Bains will take place across Canada

Montréal, August 8, 2018 – As part of the national consultation on digital and data transformation launched in June, the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, announced the names of the six experts who will lead the roundtables in cities across Canada. Janie Béïque, Executive Vice-President, Investments, at the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, was among the digital innovation leaders selected. This is the second time Ms. Béïque is participating in a federal public consultation on innovation.

“Innovation is a strategic priority for the Fonds de solidarité FTQ that has led to initiatives aimed at helping Québec businesses optimize innovation,” said Ms. Béïque. “I am pleased to give my time to this important initiative, and work alongside five other distinguished individuals that are recognized experts in their fields.”

These roundtables, which will be held in various cities across Canada until mid-September, will help the government understand how to drive innovation and are part of its Innovation and Skills Plan.
