UniCité: New Residential Rental Project in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie Complete with an IGA Supermarket

Montréal, May 9, 2018 – The Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Cogir Real Estate are partnering for the construction of a new rental residential project, UniCité, on Molson Street in the Montréal borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. The building will consist of 175 units and commercial space that will be occupied by an IGA supermarket. It will include 28 community housing units managed by a housing cooperative with the help of the social economy enterprise Bâtir son quartier.

 

About the building:

  • 67,725 ft2lot;
  • Building with seven above-ground floors;
  • 175 units, including 23 at affordable rents, in keeping with the Politique locale d’inclusion de logements abordables de Montréal and 28 community housing units that will be managed by a housing co-op with assistance from Bâtir son quartier;
  • Outdoor pool on top of the commercial space;
  • Fitness room on the first floor;
  • Studios, one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 435 ft2 to 1,050 ft2;
  • All units will have a balcony, air conditioning and storage space;
  • Commercial space of 32,292 ft2 on the ground floor occupied by an IGA supermarket;
  • Additional commercial space of 5,080 ft2 for convenience stores;
  • Bicycle racks;
  • Community garden;
  • Indoor two-storey underground parking with 148 spaces, including 60 spaces for supermarket customers.
