Val-d’Or, September 28, 2016 – Incorporated in 2006 by Daniel Gamache, Guylaine Daigle and Robert Daigle, Forage G4 launched its operations in Mexico with just one drill. As a result of its professionalism and commitment to excellence, the company grew quickly, increasing the number of drills to 32 within just five years.

Today, Groupe Forage G4 has 75 drilling units, including 45 in Québec, and over 120 employees in Canada and Mexico, including 100 in Québec. The company carries out quality projects in such settings as the tundra, the jungle and semi-desert plains in Chihuahua, always mindful of the environment and the communities involved.

To support Forage G4’s expansion, the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ (FRS) Abitibi-Témiscamingue have invested $1.5 million to allow the company to increase its drilling capacity by acquiring Forges C.C.L. in Fermont. Forage G4 has been an FRS partner since its creation in 2006.

Companies like Forage G4 are key actors that create jobs in the local economy,” said Raymond Grenier, General Manager of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ Nord-du-Québec and Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
