Phase II of Les Haltes du Roi Already Completed Condo Project in Trois-Rivières

Trois-Rivières, March 12, 2014 – Two of the nine buildings of Les Haltes du Roi, a condo project in Trois-Rivières that offers impressive views of the St. Lawrence River and lac Saint-Pierre, have been completed, along with a new model condo. This project is the result of a partnership between Construction René Courchesne and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.

During an open house event welcoming the new owners, the Mayor of Trois-Rivières, Yves Lévesque, the Vice-President, Investments, at the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, René Lamarche, and the media, René Courchesne, President of Construction René Courchesne, said he was thrilled to have completed a second building in such a short time.

Known for its quality construction, the project is not only attracting buyers from the Mauricie region but from the south and north shores of Montréal as well. Some are returning to their birthplace while others are looking for the peaceful, natural setting of a waterfront community. According to René Courchesne, “What visitors and new owners especially like is the tranquility of living near the water. As a builder, I pay special attention to the quality of the construction, materials and workmanship, and our customers appreciate that. This development meets a real demand, namely, buyers looking for large units in a low-density complex with excellent sound-proofing and plenty of storage space, not to mention indoor parking and elevators.”

“For the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, this partnership gives us a presence in Trois-Rivières, allowing us to contribute to the region’s economic growth. Once completed, the complex will have nine six-unit buildings and create about a hundred jobs, which is even better,” said Mr. Lamarche.

Located on Notre-Dame Street West in the Pointe-du-Lac neighbourhood, 15 minutes from downtown Trois-Rivières and one hour from Montréal and Québec City, the 1,625-square-foot units of Les Haltes du Roi are spacious and bright, with large windows offering a view of lac Saint-Pierre and the St. Lawrence River. Each unit has two balconies, nine-foot ceilings and includes secure intercom access.  New residents have easy access to bicycle paths, hiking trails and the Tonnancour seigneurial mill, a tranquil site known as one of Québec’s rural architectural jewels.  Project web site: haltesduroi.ca
