Model Condo Opens - Construction René Courchesne and Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ join forces

Trois-Rivières, April 17, 2013 – A model condo for the spectacular Les Haltes du Roi residential development officially opened today. On hand for the launch were Trois-Rivières Mayor Yves Lévesque, René Courchesne, president of Construction René Courchesne, and Normand Bélanger, president and CEO of Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.

The new development will consist of nine buildings with six units each, laid out in a semi-circle to ensure an unobstructed view of the Saint-Lawrence River and Lac Saint-Pierre. Residents have already begun moving into the first building, and the second is scheduled to break ground in the weeks ahead. “Les Haltes du Roi meets a need. We chose a low-density complex that offers quiet and stylish surroundings. A lot of interest is being expressed in this project, with a number of visitors coming from the Montréal area,” explained Mr.  Courchesne.

“We’re very proud to be associated with this project, which will create or maintain some 100 jobs in the region. This partnership also allows us to further strengthen our presence in Trois-Rivières and contribute to the region’s growth. We firmly believe that with its exceptional location, Les Haltes du Roi meets the needs of those looking for a tranquil, comfortable environment,” added Normand Bélanger of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ. “I’d also like to salute the project’s partners, professionals and collaborators. Together, we make a great team with a tremendous amount of expertise.”

In addition to the unparalleled view, all Haltes du Roi units have large windows, two balconies, excellent insulation and 9-foot ceilings. The buildings have secure access, indoor and outdoor parking, and elevators. The lakefront, cycling paths and walking trails are also close by.

“We are working with the region’s real estate brokers and have already met with more than 40 of them. They all recognize that Les Haltes du Roi is unique, not only because of the amazing view from every unit but also because of its quality construction,” enthused real estate agent Daniel Boisvert, who believes this inter-agency cooperation to be a first in Mauricie.
