    • Janie C. Béïque

      Janie C. Béïque joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2000. Prior to her appointment as Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources, Industries and Consumer Goods, Me Béïque was Senior Vice-President, New Economy, and before that, Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, where she was responsible for legal and regulatory issues and government matters. She has also served on the Fonds' Management Committee. Me Beïque currently sits on several Fonds committees, including the Investment Management Committee. She is a board director of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and a member of the Autorité des marchés financiers' advisory committee on SME financing and of the Teralys Capital investment committee. Lastly, she sits on the jury of the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité awards. In the past, Me Beïque was co-chair of Réseau Capital and a member of its executive committee and board. She also served on the boards of BioQuébec and Montréal InVivo. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Me Beïque worked for a prominent law firm. In 2005, she was named one of Canada's top corporate lawyers under 40 by Lexpert magazine. Holder of a law degree from Université de Montréal, Me Beïque has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1991 and is registered on the roll of the Ordre.
    • René Kurth

      Vice-President, Investments - Agrifood, Plastics and Packaging

      René Kurth joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2002. Before managing the Agri-food and Plastics portfolios, he was Portfolio Manager for the Agri-food, Metal Products and Life Sciences sectors. Mr. Kurth has over 25 years of experience in the international telecommunications industry and in multimedia software design. He also held various management positions in the Canadian industrial publication field. After serving as team leader at the accounting firm of Samson Bélair, he moved to Les éditions Panini du Canada Inc., where he was President and CEO from 1985 to 1998. He then became Vice-President, Finance, of Cescom Inc., an IP telecommunications firm. Holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration, with an Accounting option, from HEC Montréal, René Kurth is also a Chartered Accountant (CA).
    • Gilles Veilleux

      Portfolio Manager

      Gilles Veilleux joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001 as Portfolio Manager for the Plastics and Packaging sector. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, he served as General Manager of Spartech Canada's Extrusion Division for 10 years. In charge of three sheet extrusion plants, he formed a management team that was able to dramatically increase sales while maintaining a good working climate. During his career, Mr. Veilleux also held various management and operations positions in private and public companies in the textiles and office furniture industries. Holder of a Bachelor of Applied Science from Université de Sherbrooke, Mr. Veilleux regularly attends workshops and seminars pertaining to his sector or duties. He serves on the boards of various partner companies in the plastics industry.

    • Natacha Bernier

      Senior Legal Advisor

      Natacha Bernier joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1995 as Legal Advisor. Me Bernier deals with the many legal facets of the Fonds' investment operations. From defining the legal structure of transactions to their negotiation and closing, Me Bernier is involved at each step of the investment process. She is also actively involved in portfolio management. For several years, she acted as Secretary at Société de gestion d'actifs forestiers Solifor LP. The mission of this company, whose principal partner is the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ, is the acquisition and management of forestland in Québec. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 1994, Me Bernier earned her law degree from Université de Montréal.
    • Marie-Hélène Gosselin

      Development Agent

      Marie-Hélène Gosselin joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1996 as Development Agent in the Labour Relations, Partner Companies office. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Ms. Gosselin spent five years in the labour world as an advisor. As a student, she also worked in the Human Resources department of various organizations. Marie-Hélène Gosselin holds a Bachelor in Industrial Relations from Université de Montréal. After studying psychology at McGill University, she went on to Université du Québec en Outaouais where she earned a master's degree in industrial relations/human resources. Ms. Gosselin is a certified industrial relations counsellor.
    • Paul-André Moisan

      Senior Marketing Advisor

      Paul-André Moisan joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1996 as a Marketing Analyst before being appointed Senior Marketing Advisor. His duties include formulating recommendations for investment projects, advising the investment team and prospecting, tracking and furthering the growth of companies in the portfolio. In order to remain abreast of current trends, Mr. Moisan attends numerous economic conferences in the aerospace and forestry products industries. He also helps the Fonds prospect for investment projects. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, Paul-André Moisan worked in marketing research for various organizations such as CRIQ. Holder of a bachelor's degree in marketing from HEC Montréal, he completed a B2B marketing program at the same university.
    • Guy Perreault

      Taxation Expert

      Fonds de solidarité FTQ

      Guy Perreault joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001. He left the organization in 2006 and returned in October 2010. Mr. Perreault has extensive experience in taxation matters pertaining to investments, reorganization of Canadian companies, investments funds, and Canadian and foreign financial products. Past positions include serving as Senior Taxation Director, specializing in financial institutions, for a prominent accounting firm, and Taxation Director for a major Québec real estate company. Mr. Perreault holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters degree in taxation from Université Sherbrooke. He obtained his C.A. designation in 1988.
