      Janie C. Béïque joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2000. Prior to her appointment as Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources, Industries and Consumer Goods, Me Béïque was Senior Vice-President, New Economy, and before that, Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, where she was responsible for legal and regulatory issues and government matters. She has also served on the Fonds' Management Committee. Me Beïque currently sits on several Fonds committees, including the Investment Management Committee. She is a board director of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and a member of the Autorité des marchés financiers' advisory committee on SME financing and of the Teralys Capital investment committee. Lastly, she sits on the jury of the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité awards. In the past, Me Beïque was co-chair of Réseau Capital and a member of its executive committee and board. She also served on the boards of BioQuébec and Montréal InVivo. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Me Beïque worked for a prominent law firm. In 2005, she was named one of Canada's top corporate lawyers under 40 by Lexpert magazine. Holder of a law degree from Université de Montréal, Me Beïque has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1991 and is registered on the roll of the Ordre.

    • Carl Gilbert

      Carl Gilbert joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in January 2017 as Portfolio Manager for investments in the Natural Resources, Construction and Construction Materials sectors. Based in Québec City, Mr. Gilbert mainly covers the Forest Products sector. In addition to his sector-based responsibilities, he represents the Fonds in the greater Québec City area and, as such, works very closely with the regional fund. Until 2016, M. Gilbert was President of Gestion Sodémex, a Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec subsidiary specializing in the mining sector, after having managed the investments of the Sodémex Développement fund from 2013 to 2016. He also worked at the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ as Portfolio Manager for nine years. Throughout his career, he developed an expertise in the Natural Resources sector. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Finance option, from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Mr. Gilbert served on the Board of Directors of various associations and private and public companies.

      Dany Pelletier first joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001, where he worked during 11 years in the mining, wood and paper, natural resources and chemical products sectors, successively holding the positions of Advisor, Senior Advisor, Portfolio Director and Investment Director. In 2012, he joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec where, as Investment Director, he led the establishment of Sodémex Développement, a fund active in the mining sector. In April 2016, Mr. Pelletier returned to the Fonds de solidarité FTQ as Senior Investment Director, Forest Products, Construction and Construction Materials. Holding a Bachelor of Mining Engineering and Mineralurgy and a Master of Mining Engineering from Université Laval as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Université du Québec à Montréal, Mr. Pelletier served on the board of directors of several companies in his sector and led large-scale investment projects in public and private companies in Québec and abroad.
    • Jean Wilhelmy

      Jean Wilhelmy joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in July 2005 and has been Senior Vice-President, Aerospace, Infrastructures, Services and Transportation since September 2009. Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from HEC Montréal, Jean Wilhelmy has over 35 years of experience, having started his career in 1976 in the finance industry. For close to 30 years, he has worked in the venture and development capital industry with various firms, including BDC, Investissement Desjardins, Énergie Capital, Hydro-Québec Capitech and SGF. As part of his duties in the investment industry, he served on the Boards of Directors of over 30 businesses. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Finance Montréal, Québec's financial cluster, and Montréal International. In addition, he is a member of the Monitoring Committee of Mecadev and the Investment Committee of three French funds specialized in aerospace, Aerofund I, II and III. He has also been a director of Avior Integrated Products and Abipa since 2015 and of Moulins de Soulanges since 2016. Furthermore, he has served on the Advisory Committee of La Milanaise since 2014 and of Concertium since 2016. In previous years, he acted as Chair of the Restructuring and Recovery Committee of Mécachrome International, a company listed on the TSX, and as Chair of the Advisory Committee of Signalisation Octa, a Québec-based SME. Mr. Wilhelmy was also self-employed for a few years, executing various interim management and consulting engagements for financial institutions and other types of businesses. He was also a finance lecturer at UQAM for seven years. Since 2005, he has been a professor at HEC Montréal, where he teaches a course on project financing. He has also been an Associate Professor at Executive Education HEC Montréal since 2016.

      Natacha Bernier joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1995 as Legal Advisor. Me Bernier deals with the many legal facets of the Fonds' investment operations. From defining the legal structure of transactions to their negotiation and closing, Me Bernier is involved at each step of the investment process. She is also actively involved in portfolio management. For several years, she acted as Secretary at Société de gestion d'actifs forestiers Solifor LP. The mission of this company, whose principal partner is the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ, is the acquisition and management of forestland in Québec. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 1994, Me Bernier earned her law degree from Université de Montréal.
    • Daniel Bourcier

      Daniel Bourcier joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1997 as Development Agent in the Labour Relations, Partner Companies office. Prior to his arrival at the organization, he held various important positions in the labour world, including Enrolment Development Coordinator at CUPE and Training Coordinator for the labour network. With over 20 years of experience in his field, Mr. Bourcier has built solid expertise in labour relations and social responsibility. He has also mastered the intricacies of the International Code of Conduct.

      Gilles Côté joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1987 as Valuation Advisor. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, he worked as a financial analyst and an investment advisor. With over 30 years of experience in finance, Mr. Côté has sound expertise in financial instrument valuation, particularly stocks, debentures, preferred shares and hybrid instruments. He has conducted valuations in numerous contexts, including mergers & acquisitions, minority interest investments, buyouts and restructurings. Mr. Côté earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in finance from Université Laval. Before joining the organization, he worked for Société québécoise des transports, a crown corporation that finances companies specializing in the transport of merchandise and people.

      Paul-André Moisan joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1996 as a Marketing Analyst before being appointed Senior Marketing Advisor. His duties include formulating recommendations for investment projects, advising the investment team and prospecting, tracking and furthering the growth of companies in the portfolio. In order to remain abreast of current trends, Mr. Moisan attends numerous economic conferences in the aerospace and forestry products industries. He also helps the Fonds prospect for investment projects. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, Paul-André Moisan worked in marketing research for various organizations such as CRIQ. Holder of a bachelor's degree in marketing from HEC Montréal, he completed a B2B marketing program at the same university.

      Guy Perreault joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001. He left the organization in 2006 and returned in October 2010. Mr. Perreault has extensive experience in taxation matters pertaining to investments, reorganization of Canadian companies, investments funds, and Canadian and foreign financial products. Past positions include serving as Senior Taxation Director, specializing in financial institutions, for a prominent accounting firm, and Taxation Director for a major Québec real estate company. Mr. Perreault holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters degree in taxation from Université Sherbrooke. He obtained his C.A. designation in 1988.
