      Louis Aubuchon joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1996. With over 20 years of professional experience, he is known as one of the few experts in tourism infrastructure financing in Québec. Mr. Aubuchon sits on several boards in the recreational tourism industry. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, Mr. Aubuchon built his expertise working for various types of organizations, including a prominent accounting firm. Holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal, he is a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.
    • Véronique Gagnon

      Senior Investment Advisor

      Véronique Gagnon is a Senior Investment Advisor in the Recreational tourism and Culture sectors. She joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001 as Valuation Advisor. She later was Senior Advisor, Due Diligence where she participated in risk management, planning, preparing and conducting due diligence reviews of investment projects. Véronique Gagnon earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting as well as a graduate diploma in accounting from HEC Montréal. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). Prior to joining the Fonds, Ms. Gagnon worked for well-known financial firms and institutions.
    • Daniel Hinse

      Vice-President, Investments - Entertainment and Consumer Goods

      Daniel Hinse has been Senior Manager, Investments - Entertainment and Consumer Goods since 2013 and, in this capacity, has been responsible for investments in the following sectors: Tourism, Culture, Retail, Apparel and Consumer Goods. He joined the Fonds de solidarité in 2005, where he also held the position of Manager, Due Diligence Reviews. During the first ten years of his career, Daniel worked at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. After four year in audit services, he specialized in financial advisory services and provided his clients transactional services at all stages of the acquisition process, including target identification, valuation, due diligence reviews, negotiation and financing. From 2002 to 2005, he was Senior Manager in charge of the Consumer Goods and Food sectors and acted as business valuation specialist for venture capital funds. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Finance from McGill University as well as the Chartered Accountant (CPA-CA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Corporate Director (ICD.D) designations.
    • Jean Wilhelmy

      Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources, Manufacturer and Services

      Jean Wilhelmy joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in July 2005 and has been Senior Vice-President, Aerospace, Infrastructures, Services and Transportation since September 2009. Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from HEC Montréal, Jean Wilhelmy has over 35 years of experience, having started his career in 1976 in the finance industry. For close to 30 years, he has worked in the venture and development capital industry with various firms, including BDC, Investissement Desjardins, Énergie Capital, Hydro-Québec Capitech and SGF. As part of his duties in the investment industry, he served on the Boards of Directors of over 30 businesses. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Finance Montréal, Québec's financial cluster, and Montréal International. In addition, he is a member of the Monitoring Committee of Mecadev and the Investment Committee of three French funds specialized in aerospace, Aerofund I, II and III. He has also been a director of Avior Integrated Products and Abipa since 2015 and of Moulins de Soulanges since 2016. Furthermore, he has served on the Advisory Committee of La Milanaise since 2014 and of Concertium since 2016. In previous years, he acted as Chair of the Restructuring and Recovery Committee of Mécachrome International, a company listed on the TSX, and as Chair of the Advisory Committee of Signalisation Octa, a Québec-based SME. Mr. Wilhelmy was also self-employed for a few years, executing various interim management and consulting engagements for financial institutions and other types of businesses. He was also a finance lecturer at UQAM for seven years. Since 2005, he has been a professor at HEC Montréal, where he teaches a course on project financing. He has also been an Associate Professor at Executive Education HEC Montréal since 2016.

    • Sébastien Berthelet

      Senior Legal Advisor

      Sébastien Berthelet joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2007 as Legal Advisor. In his current role, he deals with the many legal facets of the Fonds' investment operations. From defining the legal structure of transactions to their negotiation and closing, Me Berthelet is involved at each step of the investment process. He also occasionally delivers legal training to Fonds employees. Prior to joining the Fonds, Me Berthelet spent several years at a prominent pan-Canadian legal firm, where he acquired solid expertise in mergers & acquisitions. Holder of a law degree from Université de Montréal, Sébastien Berthelet also studied common law at the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. In addition, he completed accounting and finance courses at the McGill International Executive Institute and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1999.
    • Danielle Day

      Valuation Coordinator

      Danielle Day joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1999 as Valuation Coordinator. Ms. Day has extensive experience in evaluating financial instruments: stocks, debentures, preferred shares and hybrid instruments. She has conducted valuations in many different situations, for example, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts and restructurings. During her career, she also spent time working for a leading financial advisory firm. With over 20 years of experience in business valuation, Danielle Day earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Université du Québec à Montréal and holds the designations of Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator.
    • Guillaume Lemire

      Legal Advisor

      Guillaume Lemire joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ's Legal Affairs team in 2009. As Legal Counsel, he is responsible for the legal aspects of investments made by the Fonds. During his studies, Mr. Lemire founded his company and developed a management software program for medical clinics that is still used today. Actively engaged in his field, he was president of the Université de Montréal student co-op and has been a board member of a caisse populaire for over 7 years. Guillaume Lemire holds a law degree from Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Barreau since 2010.
    • Richard L. Moss

      Senior Marketable Securities Advisor, Quebec Public Markets

      Richard Moss joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2003 as Senior Marketable Securities Advisor, Québec Public Markets. He is also part of the multidisciplinary teams of many sectors, including Turnaround and Special Projects. His duties include executing large stock transactions. Mr. Moss has worked in the financial field since 1986, acquiring solid expertise as, among others, an analyst and manager at Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec and as a pension fund specialist at Domtar. Richard Moss holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal and an MBA with a Finance concentration from Université de Sherbrooke. He is also a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).

      Serge Pilote joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2009 as Development Agent in the Labour Relations, Partner Companies office. Prior to his arrival at the Fonds, Mr. Pilote worked for the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). He has extensive expertise in the municipal and hydro-electric sectors, as well as in health and safety in the workplace. Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines as a certified industrial relations counsellor, Serge Pilote holds a Bachelor in Industrial Relations from Université de Montréal.
    • Manon St-Jean

      Senior Marketing Advisor

      Manon St-Jean joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1998 as Senior Marketing Advisor in the Market Analysis and Development office. Her duties include formulating recommendations for investment projects, advising the investment team and prospecting, tracking and furthering the growth of companies in the portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in marketing, Ms. St-Jean has been Marketing Director, Development Director and Product Manager for prominent companies. She also worked for nine years in the life sciences sector, allowing her to develop solid expertise in the field. Manon St-Jean earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Marketing from HEC Montréal.
