REDEMPTION CONDITIONS

Acting as a caregiver


Necessary expense for a shareholder or his/her spouse acting as a caregiver for a family member.

In order for the Fund to redeem your shares under the “Necessary expense for a shareholder or his/her spouse acting as a caregiver for a family member” criterion, you must meet the following requirements and provide the documents listed below.

Requirements
You must:

Show that the expense is necessary and that you or your spouse is acting as a caregiver for a family member;

AND

Show that the care receiver is at least 70 years old and is suffering from severe impairment in mental and/or physical functions;

AND

Show that your net family income has decreased by 20% or more for at least two consecutive months;

AND

That you have liquidated or used all your redeemable investments (including any other RRSP), share redemption being the last resort.

Required documents
The Fund’s “Redemption Request – Necessary Expense for a Shareholder or his/her Spouse Acting as a Caregiver for a Family Member” form, including the sections entitled “Shareholder’s Solemn Declaration” stating that you or your spouse must act as a caregiver for a family member;

AND
Proof that the care receiver is at least 70 years old;

OR

A medical certificate attesting that the care receiver is suffering from severe impairment in mental and/or physical functions;

AND

Proof of net family income for the period involved and proof of net family income before it decreased;

AND

Proof that all redeemable investments have been liquidated or cannot be redeemed.
Eligible shares
All shares held for at least two years.
Payment terms and conditions
This criterion can only be invoked once every five years from the date of disbursement.

If fewer than 20 shares remain in your account, they will be automatically redeemed.
Subsequent acquisition of shares
You may purchase additional Fund shares one year after the last payment is issued under this criterion.
