Mario Tremblay



Vice-President, Public and Corporate Affairs



Mario Tremblay has been Vice-President, Public and Corporate Affairs, at the Solidarity Fund QFL since September 2008. As such, he sits on the Fund’s Executive Committee.

Before being appointed to this position, Mr. Tremblay was Vice-President, Public Affairs and Communications for two years. Mr.Tremblay joined the Fund in 2001 as Corporate Business Director and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Thanks to his extensive skills and professionalism, Mr. Tremblay has played a key role in the Fund’s strategic planning.


Mr. Tremblay serves on the boards of the Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse and the Agora de la danse.


Called to the Barreau du Québec in 1996, Mr. Tremblay practiced corporate and international business law, first as an attorney and subsequently as a partner at Goodrich Riquelme y Associados in Mexico from 1997 to 2001, where he advised many Québec and Canadian firms.


He also acted as an international observer during the 1997 Mexican elections for the Canadian Embassy and worked with the Québec Delegation, notably, during the economic mission led by Premier Lucien Bouchard in 1999.


Mr. Tremblay received his law degree,
magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa.
