Michel Pontbriand has been Executive Vice-President - Finance, at the Solidarity Fund QFL since 1995, overseeing five broad areas of activity: Marketable Securities, Financial Management, Financial Services, Taxation and Information Technologies.
In his capacity as Executive Vice-President, Michel Pontbriand attends the Fund’s board, executive and audit committee meetings
and sits on the senior management, financial asset management and investment evaluation committees.
Before joining the Fund, Mr. Pontbriand spent 10 years working for Culinar, where he held several positions, first as Director - Financial Services and Assistant Secretary-Treasurer from 1985 to 1992, then as Treasurer from 1992 to 1994, and finally as Vice-President - Control and Treasury and Secretary-Treasurer until 1995. From 1976 to 1985, he worked as an Assistant Auditor and then as Assistant to the Partners at Coopers & Lybrand.
Michel Pontbriand enjoys a solid reputation as a seasoned
professional in all aspects of corporate finance and acquisitions
and disposals. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from École
