Hugues Lacroix, MBA, CA, IAS.A, is Vice-President, Investments – SME Transfer, at the Solidarity Fund QFL since June 2008. In this role, he heads the team responsible for investing in companies requiring a specific expertise in business transfer. Mr. Lacroix joined the Fund in
1997 and from 2003 until his latest appointment held the position of Investment Director, Metal, Transport and Industrial Products.
Before joining the Fund, Mr. Lacroix held senior management positions in various retail (Mr. Felix & Mr. Norton Cookies and Just Kids), real estate (Iberville Developments), distribution (Williams & Wilson) and consulting firms. His areas of expertise are finance, governance and strategic planning.
In addition to recent mandates as a member of the board of Manac inc., Spectra Premium Industries and Groupe Environnemental Labrie, Mr. Lacroix has also served on the boards of many public, private and not-for-profit companies and as vice-chair of the Executive Committee of the Québec Section of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and
on the Board of Directors of the Québec Chartered Accountants Ordre (QCAO).
A Chartered Accountant since 1983, Mr. Lacroix holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UQAC and an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke. He is also a graduate of the ICD Director Executive Program, where he obtained the professional designation of Certified
Director (ICD.D).
