Gaétan Morin

Vice-President Investments

Gaétan Morin has been Vice-President, Investments, since February 2006, responsible for the Fund’s investment activities.

At the Solidarity Fund QFL since 1989, Gaétan Morin was appointed Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources and Consumer Goods in 2003. Prior to that, he held the positions of Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager and Investment Director.

From 1986 to 1989, Gaétan Morin worked in business financing at various brokerages, including Pemberton Securities and Saumier Morrisson et Associés. He acted as project manager for a number of mining companies and for the ministère des Ressources naturelles du Québec from 1982 to 1985.

Mr. Morin has served on the boards of several public and private companies, and was a member of the Board of Société québécoise d’exploration minière (SOQUEM) as well as the vice-chair of the Association de l’exploration minière du Québec.

Mr. Morin holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Geology from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Masters in Economic Geology.

In 2005, Mr. Morin was awarded the Prix Mérite Ressources by the Ordre des géologues du Québec.
