    • Janie C. Béïque

      Janie C. Béïque joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2000. Prior to her appointment as Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources, Industries and Consumer Goods, Me Béïque was Senior Vice-President, New Economy, and before that, Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, where she was responsible for legal and regulatory issues and government matters. She has also served on the Fonds' Management Committee. Me Beïque currently sits on several Fonds committees, including the Investment Management Committee. She is a board director of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and a member of the Autorité des marchés financiers' advisory committee on SME financing and of the Teralys Capital investment committee. Lastly, she sits on the jury of the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité awards. In the past, Me Beïque was co-chair of Réseau Capital and a member of its executive committee and board. She also served on the boards of BioQuébec and Montréal InVivo. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Me Beïque worked for a prominent law firm. In 2005, she was named one of Canada's top corporate lawyers under 40 by Lexpert magazine. Holder of a law degree from Université de Montréal, Me Beïque has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1991 and is registered on the roll of the Ordre.

      Gilles Genest joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2005 as Senior Investment Advisor. He has over 25 years of experience in business financing, having worked in leasing, bank financing with subordinated debt, and venture capital for leading Canadian financial institutions. Holder of a finance degree from Concordia University, Mr. Genest serves on several boards, primarily in the furniture and textile industries.
    • Daniel Hinse

      Vice-President, Investments - Entertainment and Consumer Goods

      Daniel Hinse has been Senior Manager, Investments - Entertainment and Consumer Goods since 2013 and, in this capacity, has been responsible for investments in the following sectors: Tourism, Culture, Retail, Apparel and Consumer Goods. He joined the Fonds de solidarité in 2005, where he also held the position of Manager, Due Diligence Reviews. During the first ten years of his career, Daniel worked at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. After four year in audit services, he specialized in financial advisory services and provided his clients transactional services at all stages of the acquisition process, including target identification, valuation, due diligence reviews, negotiation and financing. From 2002 to 2005, he was Senior Manager in charge of the Consumer Goods and Food sectors and acted as business valuation specialist for venture capital funds. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Finance from McGill University as well as the Chartered Accountant (CPA-CA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Corporate Director (ICD.D) designations.

    • Sébastien Berthelet

      Senior Legal Advisor

      Sébastien Berthelet joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2007 as Legal Advisor. In his current role, he deals with the many legal facets of the Fonds' investment operations. From defining the legal structure of transactions to their negotiation and closing, Me Berthelet is involved at each step of the investment process. He also occasionally delivers legal training to Fonds employees. Prior to joining the Fonds, Me Berthelet spent several years at a prominent pan-Canadian legal firm, where he acquired solid expertise in mergers & acquisitions. Holder of a law degree from Université de Montréal, Sébastien Berthelet also studied common law at the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. In addition, he completed accounting and finance courses at the McGill International Executive Institute and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1999.
    • Julie Bolduc

      Valuation Advisor

      Julie Bolduc joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001 as Valuation Advisor for the Agri-Food, Textile and Metal Products sectors. Ms. Bolduc has extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly in business valuation involving mergers and acquisitions, minority interest investments, buyouts and restructurings. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator, Julie Bolduc earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Prior to joining the Fonds, she worked for a prominent accounting firm.
    • Alain Foisy

      Development Agent

      Alain Foisy joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1999 as Head of Labour Relations and Staffing and later became Director, Administrative Support. In 2007, he joined the Labour Relations, Partner Companies, team as Development Agent. Holder of a bachelor's degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal, Mr. Foisy worked for 18 years at local 298 of the Syndicat québécois des employées et employés de service, QFL, the last four as President. During this time, he was also a member of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ board of directors.
    • Lyne Paquin

      Senior Marketing Advisor

      Lyne Paquin joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 1998 as Senior Marketing Advisor in the Market Analysis and Development office. Her duties include formulating recommendations for investment projects, advising the investment team and prospecting, tracking and furthering the growth of companies in the portfolio. Prior to her arrival at the Fonds, Ms. Paquin founded her own marketing consulting firm and worked as a marketing advisor for various consulting firms, including five years at Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ). Lyne Paquin holds a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Marketing from HEC Montréal and has over 25 years of experience in marketing.
    • Sylvain Tellier

      Taxation Expert

      Sylvain Tellier joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2007 as Tax Specialist in the Taxation office. Prior to his recruitment by the organization, he worked for various prominent accounting firms. Mr. Tellier has sound expertise in taxation, more specifically, corporate restructuring, estate planning, and scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) tax credit financing. He also has excellent knowledge of securities. Holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from UQÀM as well as a master's degree in taxation from Université de Sherbrooke, Sylvain Tellier is also a Chartered Accountant (CA). He has almost 20 years of experience in taxation.
